OF THIS GRASSROOTS MOVEMENT
Roots members, and counting
We like to say that monthly givers are The Roots of our grassroots movement, keeping us sustainably rooted in our core mission to alleviate extreme global poverty. Your monthly support allows us to maintain a thorough vetting process for partnerships around the world and to do so with a commitment to dignity, empowerment, transparency, mutuality, and impact.
As a part of The Roots community, you may choose to give to our general fund or to our operations fund. We believe that any gift amount can have a lasting impact. There are a couple of specific giving options below, but you are not limited to these options or amounts. We invite you to get creative in building habits of generosity!
When you become a Roots member, you will receive a free one-of-a-kind Grassroots T-shirt as a way to welcome you to our community!

Donate $65 monthly
$65/month represents giving the equivalent of $2.15/day, the global poverty line. Commit to giving $65/month in recognition of our global neighbors who live at or below the global poverty line.
Choose where you give
We focus our work around 12 areas, from addressing hunger to education. Choose one of our 12 areas of focus and your donation will go directly towards funding projects specific to that focus.
Support our 100% model
Give to our operations fund! Your gift will enable our team to vet reliable partners, invest in sustainable projects with proven impact, as well as track every dollar to make sure it’s used wisely.
MEET EVARISTE
Evariste Ndikumana was the second Batwa person to graduate from university ever in the history of Burundi. He has dedicated his life to helping the Batwa community because he as a Batwa himself, understands the struggles first-hand. He founded a grassroots, volunteer-led organization, Association Espoir pour les Jeunes Batwa (ASSEJEBA). to equip Batwa people with IDs in partnership with African Road. He is a true changemaker and beacon in the Batwa community.
“My heart rejoices with the steps we have begun to make in the lives of my people in moving from misery to hope. To be able to have national IDs and health insurance is a reason to have happiness.”
One Day’s Wages works with carefully vetted partners, like African Road, so that people like Evariste can gain necessary resources and empower others to have a bright future.
Join us in empowering more people like Evariste by starting a monthly donation.
