More than 800 million people live in extreme poverty, but only a small share of global funding ever reaches the local leaders working to change that. One Day’s Wages exists to shift that balance. We come alongside locally led organizations and the people who understand their own communities best. Giving one day’s wage is about joining a larger, collective effort: local leaders drive the change, and your contribution is one among many that make their work possible.

CAN I FUNDRAISE FOR ODW?

WHERE CAN I GET A DONATION RECEIPT?
If you donate online, you will automatically receive a receipt via email. You can also log into your GoFundMe Pro donor portal at any time to view your giving history and re-send yourself a copy of your donation receipt.
If you donate by check, we will either email you a receipt or mail you a paper copy if we do not have your email address. If you need a receipt to be sent again, please email donations@onedayswages.org and we’ll be happy to help.
A summary receipt of the past year’s tax-deductible donations is sent each year in January. Please reach out to donations@onedayswages.org if you do not receive your annual summary, see a mistake, or need it to be sent again.
WILL MY WORKPLACE MATCH MY GIFT?
Many workplaces offer employee match programs for charitable giving! Check here to see whether your workplace will increase your impact through a match.
WHAT ARE TRANSACTION FEES?
You can choose whether or not to cover the transaction fees incurred with your donation. If you do choose to cover fees, it enables more of our funds to go toward program costs. If you prefer to not cover transaction fees at the time of donation, just uncheck the box that says “Thank you for covering the fees!” These fees include the credit card processing fees, through Stripe, and platform fees, through GoFundMe Pro.

HOW DO I APPLY FOR A GRANT?
We partner with locally led nonprofit organizations implementing poverty alleviation projects in under-resourced communities globally. As we take time to reimagine our partnership model, we have temporarily suspended our grant application process. Please visit this page for updates.
