Project #5 | Sanitation and Clean Water for a School in Ethiopia
Our partnership with Charity Water
ODW was pleased to partner with Charity: Water in raising $25,000 to come alongside a primary school in Ethiopia. Approximately $20,000 went towards providing clean sanitation – toilets and wash sinks. The remaining $5,000 was used to build a water well that provides clean water for the entire school.
Clean water gives children the opportunity to attend school and get an education. With education, communities are able to raise up strong leaders, making it possible to break the cycle of poverty and allowing future generations to improve their quality of life. Clean water offers kids improved health, a better quality of life, and hope for a bright future.
Thank you for making this possible!
Our movement is grassroots, to us that not only means the work on the ground is led by local leaders with the support of the community, but it also means that we raise the funds for our projects through everyday donors just like you. In addition to all the donors that gave $25, $100, or $250 and the campaigners that ran a race or donated their birthday to raise funds, we also want to thank our generous business, school, and faith sponsors who believed in our work and joined the movement.
If you want to support future projects like this you can make a donation to our clean water fund.
