SOCIAL MEDIA COORDINATOR INTERN

About Us: 

We are a Seattle-based grassroots not-for-profit working to alleviate extreme global poverty. Our team is passionate, driven, and committed to building a just world. By joining us, you will gain valuable experience, be part of a supportive community, and make a tangible impact.

 

What You’ll Do: 

  • Develop and execute engaging social media content across platforms (Instagram, Facebook, X, LinkedIn, etc.)
  • Assist in creating strategies to increase our online presence and community engagement
  • Monitor and respond to social media interactions to foster a positive and active community
  • Track social media performance metrics and adjust strategies for growth
  • Collaborate with the team to align messaging with our mission and current campaigns

 

What We’re Looking For:

  • An active user of social media with personal accounts that demonstrate organic influence and engagement
  • A creative, proactive learner who is passionate about poverty alleviation and/or non-profit work
  • Someone who enjoys working independently but thrives in a team-oriented environment
  • Excellent written communication skills and a knack for storytelling
  • Enthusiastic about experimenting with different social media tactics to engage and grow our audience
  • Familiarity with the following tools: Canva, Iconosquare, Meta Business Suite, Campsite

Commitment:

This is an unpaid internship. We are looking for someone who can commit to 5-8 hours per week for a minimum of three months. This is a remote role, offering flexibility in your work schedule.
