Projects#80, 81 | Earthquake Relief in Nepal
Our partnership with World Vision and Medical Teams International
The 7.8 magnitude earthquake was the worst earthquake to hit Nepal in 80 years, and devastated central Nepal near Kathmandu. Over 8,000 people have died and thousands are in need of emergency medical care.
In the wake of such a massive earthquake, there was an urgent need to respond quickly to keep the death toll from rising further as hospitals were overwhelmed. This is why we worked with local partners to provide lifesaving medical care. In addition to medical care, we came alongside Nepalese families to ensure they had access to the basics like: food, water, and shelter.
Our partners’ commitment was that long after the news crews have left Nepal, they would still be working with their partners and the local communities to invest in the rebuilding and long-term development of the region.

Thank you for making this possible!
Our movement is grassroots, to us that not only means the work on the ground is led by local leaders with the support of the community, but it also means that we raise the funds for our projects through everyday donors just like you. In addition to all the donors that gave $25, $100, or $250 and the campaigners that ran a race or donated their birthday to raise funds, we also want to thank our generous business, school, and faith sponsors who believed in our work and joined the movement. Special thanks to Discovery Church, The Justice Conference Asia, Marketplace Church and Ballard Church.
If you want to support future projects like this you can make a donation to our emergency relief fund.
