Project #343 | Empowering Farmers through Regenerative Agriculture and Veterinary Care
Our Partnership with the Berine and Bokwe Foundation
One Day’s Wages is partnering with the Berine and Bokwe Foundation (BEBOF) – a women-led Cameroonian NGO – to improve food security and build resilience among smallholder farmers in Matoh. Over two years, 200 farmers will learn to incorporate regenerative farming methods that improve soil fertility and re-establish traditional food crops for nutrition and income. An isolated cluster of villages with no veterinary services, a new veterinary outreach service will also launch in Matoh. Through animal husbandry and diversified sources of income, farmers who currently rely solely on cocoa will gain climate-adapted sources of food and income.
Project Goals
FARMERS WITH IMPROVED CROP YIELDS
FAMILY MEMBERS WITH MORE FOOD TO EAT
FARMERS WITH ACCESS TO VETERINARY CARE
Thank you for making this possible!
Our movement is grassroots. The projects we support are led by local leaders, and all the funds we raise are through ordinary donors who give a day of their wages to support those experiencing extreme poverty. Will you consider giving $25, $100 or $250 to make our partnerships possible?
