LET’S DO THIS
We hope you are having a wonderful holiday season. At ODW, we are incredibly humbled by your support this past year, and we want to invite you to come alongside us to help finish the year out strong.
Your generosity has allowed us to engage in 20 projects in 18 countries this last year alone, and as of today we have raised nearly $5 million to help empower people living in extreme poverty! Thank you for making this movement strong!
While these numbers are important, what matters most are the people around the world that you’re impacting and empowering to rise out of poverty. Whether it’s a mother and her newborn that gained access to better maternal care, a young girl that no longer has to walk miles to gather water, or a young boy that was rescued from a situation of human trafficking — this is our impact.
When you make a tax-deductible end of year donation, you’re helping empower women like Harriet and Esther (pictured to the right) with skills, knowledge, and opportunities they need to lead their families out of poverty. 100% of your gift goes towards empowering people. There are two simple and convenient ways to make your end-of-year tax-deductible donation:
- Online donation that is safe and secure.
- Mail a check (postmarked by 12/31/2016) to: P.O. Box 18071, Seattle, WA 98118.
We hope you have a very happy New Year!

RAIN for the Sahel and Sahara
I’ve been trying to grow vegetables in a small household garden for nearly 15 years now, and you’d think that I’d be much better at gardening than I am at this point. Some years I have greater success than others, but most of the time I manage to eke out at least a...

From Hunger to Hope: Coming Alongside Guatemalan Farming Families
It’s funny—no matter how many clever recipes or colorful veggie platters I try, getting my kids to eat their vegetables often feels like a heroic feat. Like many parents, I find myself negotiating, coaxing, and sometimes resorting to the old “one bite” rule just to...
Localization in Action: How One Day’s Wages Supports Community-Led Solutions
From the very beginning, the leadership of One Day’s Wages made a strategic choice: instead of creating our own programs, we decided to support local leaders who are already doing great work in their communities to fight poverty. We believe that local leaders are the...
